On April 15, Transmashholding turns 22 years old!

The holding approached its holiday in good shape. TMH is the largest developer and manufacturer of rolling stock and medium-speed engines in Russia and the CIS; the holding's products are well known to consumers far beyond Russia.

Since 2021, all new electric locomotives of the Ermak series, which are produced at the TMH plant in Novocherkassk, are equipped with the ISAVP-RT-M intelligent system, which allows driving freight trains using the “Virtual Coupling” technology. It is being actively implemented on the Russian railway network, thanks to which it is possible to significantly increase the throughput of steel main lines.

The Russian Railways holding continues to work on updating its rolling stock. During 2024, the company plans to receive from the manufacturer - Tver Carriage Works (TVZ, part of TMH) 550 new cars for long-distance trains (396 single-decker and 154 double-decker). From January to March, 34 cars were delivered, including 21 single-decker and 13 double-decker.

General Director of Transmashholding, member of the Bureau of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Kirill Lipa summed up the main results of two years of work in unprecedented conditions for the Russian economy, named the main priorities for the technological development of the holding and explained why it is useful for other Russian enterprises to follow the example of TMH in order to ensure sustainable demand for their products.

TMH has mastered the medium repair of diesel locomotive 2TE25A - Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ, part of TMH) has received the right to carry out medium repair of mainline freight locomotives of the 2TE25A series. The plant carried out a trial repair of diesel locomotive No. 005.

The annual tram parade will take place in the capital and will continue with an exhibition of retro transport.

New passenger cars have arrived in Sakhalin - the rolling stock was manufactured at the TMH plant in Tver and meets the requirements of a modern passenger: environmentally friendly toilet facilities, a ventilation and air conditioning system, a video surveillance system and information screens, the Sakhalin Passenger Company reported.

In the Novosibirsk region, modern domestic commuter electric trains EP2DM have started operating on routes, the press service of the regional government reported this. The new trains will carry passengers from Novosibirsk to Cherepanovo, Barabinsk and Tatarsk.

The first hybrid DC electric locomotive in the history of Russian transport engineering with an asynchronous drive and on-board energy storage, the contact-battery shunting locomotive EMKA2 is being prepared for delivery to the customer.

Governor of the Tver Region Igor Rudenya, together with Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vasiliev, visited the production site of the Tver Carriage Works in Torzhok, where a meeting was held with the workforce of the TVZ and KSK-Metalkomplekt enterprises.

In January-February 2024, transportation by double-decker trains on the Gorky Railway increased by 9% - 253 thousand passengers were sent in 2 months of 2024, reported the corporate communications service of the State Railway.

New locomotives have arrived at BAM - four new super-heavy, fully import-substituted 3TE28 locomotives arrived from the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ, part of TMH), reports the press service of the Far Eastern branch of the LocoTech-Service company

Suburban rolling stock was updated in two regions at once - Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories. The updated electric train EPZD was launched in cities; the trains allow transportation at a high level with comfort for passengers.
